TROP to 'Peacemaker' Captors:
"No Special Treatment for Dhimwits"

TROP: 12/13/05

Here's a hypothetical scenario: Coalition forces in Iraq find out where Western hostages are being held and have an excellent chance of rescuing them, although it would mean killing their captors in the process.  Proceed with the rescue?

If these are average hostages, then the answer is 'Absolutely!'  Islamic terrorists have not the slightest desire to abide by the Geneva Convention, which forbids both the capture of civilians and the execution of enemy combatants in uniform, nor does the global Muslim community harbor such moral expectations.  As a result, the fate of hostages in Muslim hands is generally an old school throat-cutting or beheading, as videotape rolls and the butchers praise their bloodthirsty God and quote from the Qur'an.

But the four "Christian Peacemaker" captives earlier in the month are not ordinary hostages.  If a rescue effort was successful, and their captors killed, these pacifists would most certainly spend the rest of their meager lives condemning both their own "deadly" liberation and the broader operation to liberate Iraq from such terrorists.

These four individuals are the textbook definition of 'dhimwits' - TROP's term for Westerners who act as if they want to be dhimmis (religious minorities under Muslim subjugation).  Their organization is even assuring the terrorists that they wouldn't dare talk about their theoretical Christian faith while in Iraq.  They are completely deferential and docile... harmless dhimmis ready to pay the jizya

They went to Iraq not to condemn the Sunni terrorists who bomb innocent men, women and children, but rather the security forces that work to keep this from happening.  They went preaching their message of "peace at any price."  If it means letting the bad guys win, turning the country into a brutal terror State, then so be it.  If this, in turn, means that people around the world are less secure, then so be it.  For these dhimwits, terror means grievance and grievance means legitimacy, particularly if Western countries can be held responsible - regardless of what must be ignored to contrive moral superiority under such poor conditions.

Meekly allowing another's aggression to run its course might be a decent strategy when it comes to surviving a holiday dinner at the in-laws', but pacifism is a suicidal foreign policy precept.  Religious dhimwits such as these "Peacemakers" are Evolutionary dead-ends - surviving to reproduce solely because of the sacrifices of others past and present.

Such myopic individuals never think about the consequences of appeasement or the hard decisions that have to be made to protect innocent people against those who are evil.  They don't believe in evil, in fact.

This naivety will only be reinforced when their captors release them - as they almost certainly will in the face of universal (and uncharacteristic) calls to do so from fellow Sunnis who know the damage that would be done by their murder.  Muslims know that it's far better that these men be released to laud their captors and condemn America, than to risk the hard reality of the nature of Islamic terror sinking a little deeper into the Western consciousness.

With this in mind, TROP has decided to balance the debate with a public plea for the captors to afford no special treatment to these hostages.  Our message: Cut their throats as you normally would, by videotaping the carnage and praising Allah as you quote from the holy book of Islam. No doubt each dhimwit will be happy to shout the praises of your cause with you, right up to the moment that their vocal cords are severed. "This is for the people of Iraq.  George Bush is cutting my throat!  Allah Akbar... (gurgle)..."

Show the world that you are as stupid as you are brutal by killing the very people who enable you.  Give their peers an opportunity to consider the future they're working to bring about.  Reinforce (for the rest of us) the understanding that there is true evil in the world, and you are the personification of it.  Give us a reason to drop the unilateral restraints that work to your advantage in the War on Terror and go back to fighting the way we used to fight when we won wars rather than abandoned them.

This is a critical time for the Middle East.  The Jordan hotel bombings have wiped the smiles off a few of those Sunni faces (who weren't terribly concerned when the victims were infidel and Shia).  Sunnis in Iraq are now participating in the electoral and rebuilding process.  70% of the country is optimistic about their lives.  The "insurgency" has shrunk to less than 20% of the country, and the only real gains are being made in the U.S. Congress.

Martyring dhimwits at this point would only contradict their cause, and do harm to yours, thus saving lives in the long run.

So just do it.
